Kia CUB Concept with a 1.6-litre GDI

Kia CUB concept (CUB) utilises a 1.6-litre GDI (gasoline direct-injection) engine, which is going to be used in the new Kia pro_cee’d GT and cee’d GT. The new powerplant is fitted with a twin-scroll turbocharger that allows it to pump out 201bhp and 265Nm of torque. Mated to a six-speed manual transmission, the engine allows the CUB to sprint from 0-100km/h in 7.7 seconds and top out at 230km/h

LED lights illuminate both the front headlamps and the rear taillights, which is a must on concept cars these days. The CUB rolls on very busy looking 19-inch alloy wheels, but being a concept vehicle, its expected. Kia says that the smooth exterior design will provide the Kia CUB with ultra-low aerodynamic drag, which would allow it to slice through the air cleanly
